The USA Bobsled ⋆ Skeleton Foundation is excited to announce our newest partnership with the New York State Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons coming together to build a “Skeleton Squad” to support the athletes of USA Skeleton.

Through your $100 donation, you will receive our exclusive Skeleton Squad Surgical Cap or Skeleton Squad Beanie, with all proceeds directly benefiting the USABS Foundation.

Many of our athletes purchase, own, and pay to ship their own sleds and equipment from one competition to the next. Some of our athletes have slept in their cars for the opportunity to train at an Olympic Training Center -- and they do all of this knowing they’ll never get rich, even if they make the podium. As an Altius level donor your annual gift of $5,000 is providing the vital funding that aids in the purchase of equipment, travel, training, and many other expenses that come with the pursuit of excellence.

The sacrifices that our bobsled and skeleton athletes make in order to represent Team USA in competition is unmatched. The precision and skill required to master bobsled and skeleton comes at a price: from rigorous long training days of lifting weights and sprints, to pushing 400-pound sleds and speeding down the track at 90 mph while their bodies experience up to five times their body weight. By donating at the Fortius level, you are providing these athletes with the critical training elements they need to race, and ultimately win, for Team USA!

As a Gold Medal Club donor you are providing a significant and vital portion of USA Bobsled/Skeleton's funding -- the absence of this level of leadership funding would severely impede our athletes' ability to compete in the Olympic Games. Bobsled and skeleton athletes are not seeking fame and fortune. They set a lofty goal—to be the best in the world—and pursue it with every subatomic particle of their being, while wearing USA on their backs. That's a journey that inspires us. It reminds us to put the work before the reward. And it ultimately teaches us that there's greater joy in the struggle, when performed with teamwork, commitment and integrity.
